SX2572 : Windswept tree and the Cheesewring

taken 19 years ago, near to Henwood, Cornwall, England

Windswept tree and the Cheesewring
Windswept tree and the Cheesewring
The pile of rocks in the background is the Cheesewring. The cheesewring quarry lies just a metre or so to the right of the cheesewring in this photo. Thankfully expansion of the quarry was halted as this would have meant the loss of this Cornish landmark. And although it looks as if the tree is supporting the Cheesewring, don't panic, the cheesewring won't collapse if the tree is removed.
