The 'Voe Jarl' off Bangor
The 'Voe Jarl' off Bangor
Belfast and the waters of Belfast Lough have seen a lot of activity recently with vessels involved in the installation of an offshore windfarm at Robin Rigg in the Solway Firth. Belfast is being used as the base for storage and assembly of the windfarm components as well as the repair of some of the vessels involved. This was one of three tugs involved in transporting jack-up barges to the Solway Firth that had anchored off Bangor for some time.
This is the 'Voe Jarl' which is a 'pusher tug'. See also J4982 : Three tugs near Bangor and for some related images see LinkExternal link .
