Site of former Seaforth Hotel Arbroath
The Seaforth Hotel in Arbroath was destroyed by fire in August 2006. It has now been demolished and the site has been cleared. The building had been a private mansion built in the 1820s. It was converted into a hotel in 1934. Prior to the fire there had been plans submitted to turn it into flats.
Also infamous for being in football folklore at least, the coldest place to watch football. I have painful memories of watching a match there in 1983 with an east wind blowing.
