Welly boots at Lissadell House
Lissdell House is a 19th century neo-classical stately home which occupies a spectacular site on the north side of Sligo Bay. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) Once home to the Gore-Booth family, it fell into decay in the latter part of the 20th century but has now been restored to something approaching its former glory. The upper floor of the house is occupied by the present owners - Edward Walsh and Constance Cassidy and their seven children - hence the boots lined up at the main door.
