New hotel by Aston Locks, Birmingham and Fazeley Canal
The lock is Lock No 16, the third one down in the Aston flight. This lock is now partly under the widened bridge carrying the A4540 Birmingham Ring Road. The Hotel Campanile on the left provides many rooms with views across the wide pound typical of this flight. Can someone please tell me, were the locks ever paired on this flight? If so we could do with some pictures earlier than those taken since regeneration of the city has taken place.
