Milestone sits at the turnpike of the old Hilderthorpe estate. The Milestone reads 'Bridlington 1 Beverley 22' miles, on flat iron casting mounted upon tombstone shaped stone. Though the stone now sits in Bridlington proper at the time of the turnpike roads it lay 1 mile from Bridlington Town, which geographical lay in what is known as Old Town. The Milestone was erected by the White Cross to Bridlington Trust in the 19th century.
The Milestone was restored with fresh paint in 2020 when the road was resurfaced.
It sits on the grass verge on the west side of Cardigan Road in front of the vicarage adjacent to Emmanuel Church.
