The Queensway Chambers in Stevenage was built in 1956 as an office building joined with the Town Square Chambers next door, the building became vacant and derelict in 2023 and awaiting conversion and renovation into apartments.

A brand new Poundland shop has opened in October 2023 replacing the former Wilkos shop and before Wilkos was Woolworths, as Wilkos and Woolworths had red painted fronts this is the first shop to have a blue painted front in this specific unit in the Town Centre.
Some Stevenage residents say it is “eye catching” whilst others say it is an “eyesore”.
