Taken in 1985, a year after the closure of the station, Blake Hall was the penultimate stop on the Central Line on its way to Ongar. The single-track line from Epping, via North Weald, to Ongar closed ten years later but opened in 2004 as a "tourist attraction" by the Epping and Ongar Railway Society. They run trains on Sundays all year.text/html2005-08-28T08:15:11+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/1803Andrew Smith51.625566 0.360658TQ6394 : Hutton: All Saints Church

Access to this island is severely restricted, and has been since, I believe, the Second World War. This photo was taken when there was a Flower Show on the Island, but even then you felt that you were being watched.text/html2005-08-28T08:03:38+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/1803Andrew Smith51.688159 0.378383TL6401 : Fryerning: Handley Barns

Very remote though only about 25 miles from London, this Essex church was saved from closure in 1983 by a group who formed the Friends of All Saints.
