It's not unknown for high tides on the Thames to leave this street awash, causing misery for unwary drivers who park their vehicles here.text/html2024-03-08T23:05:10+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/18030Mark Percy51.513502 -0.320667TQ1680 : West Ealing Station Garden

https://www.geograph.ie/photo/7725106
Osterley Station opened on 25 March 1934, replacing an earlier station nearby called Osterley & Spring Grove.
It was designed in the modern European style used elsewhere on the Piccadilly line by Charles Holden using brick, reinforced concrete and large areas of glass. The station also features a brick tower topped with a concrete "obelisk", possibly inspired by De Telegraaf Building in Amsterdam, which Holden visited as part of a study trip to the Netherlands.
Now on the Piccadilly line Heathrow branch, the station was originally also served by the District line until services were withdrawn from the Hounslow branch on 9 October 1964.text/html2023-11-22T19:34:41+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/18030Mark Percy51.499878 -0.288880TQ1879 : Round Pond, Gunnersbury Park

This must be one of the most unusual fonts in any Church of England building. It consists of two copper bowls which were used for manufacturing toffee at Norwich's Rowntree Mackintosh chocolate factory. When the factory closed in 1994, the bowls were gifted to the Cathedral.text/html2023-11-11T22:20:12+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/18030Mark Percy52.630794 1.295861TG2308 : The Halls
