Now luxury flats, the Dower House is on the edge of the new housing development of Stoke Park which is just outside the Bristol City boundary into South Gloucestershire. The M32 Motorway into Bristol is in a cutting, not clearly shown on the OS Map, through the middle of this photo.text/html2006-07-01T09:40:15+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/192John Phillips52.851549 -3.998811SH6530 : The Roman Steps

Ancient Cambrian Rocks dominate this area of the Harlech Dome in the Rhinog Mountains. This pass is known as the Roman Steps but there is no real evidence of having been built by the Romans. The paving is probably medieval. text/html2006-05-11T22:13:05+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/192John Phillips50.810756 -1.429383SU4001 : Landing Stages on the Beaulieu River

My previous photo was taken in c 1975, the sheds in the middleground are new, and an improved lane leads up the hill to the right. In my grandfather's time this lane was called the Donkey Drive as that is the way the pack donkeys were led down to the mill with grain for grinding. text/html2006-05-05T18:58:59+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/192John Phillips51.132708 -0.922351SU7537 : King John's Hill
