A shallow pool of seawater, trapped on this sandy beach by a low sandbank, has been frozen by the very low temperatures experienced here in mid December 2022.text/html2021-08-04T15:53:03+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/20372Bryan Pready54.191398 -2.685943SD5577 : Solar panels at Hutton Roof Crags

These twelve panels appear to provide electricity used to pump water for the cattle that graze the nature reserve at Hutton Roof Crags. They are well hidden among the woodland and Limestone outcrops.text/html2019-11-30T17:51:34+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/20372Bryan Pready53.571762 -3.096287SD2708 : Formby beach at sunset

The Star of Hope, a German barque, was on a voyage from Wilmington, North Carolina to Liverpool, carrying a cargo of cotton in 1883. The ship was caught in a Force 10 gale in the Mersey approaches and was reported to be in distress. It was later reported that her nine crew were safe on the Crosby lightship.
