I thought it might be fun to add a few pictures taken whilst on a walk on Middletown Hill – and upload some of the flora & fauna encountered on a very pleasant 2 hour womble! That's about it for that day's walk, this one being, I think, the elusive Pearl Bordered Fritillary, it being no more than 40mm across. It was a good day for a walk, I did get to the top the long way round but the beasties prefer the more sheltered lower slopes!text/html2009-05-11T19:12:30+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/26885Rod Trevaskus52.708540 -3.032780SJ3012 : A Walk on Middletown Hill 07

Caersws village stands at the confluence of the Afon Carno with the River Severn in Powys; it is the site of two early Roman forts. The first (Caersws I) was a large fort, in the picture, is perhaps Neronian or late-Claudian in date, sited in a bend of the Severn about ¾ mile to the east of Caersws Village.text/html2009-04-28T22:46:23+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/26885Rod Trevaskus50.955965 -4.147891SS4919 : Man At Work
