To travel the distance between Strangford and Portaferry by road is approximately 75 kilometres and takes about an hour and a half by car. By contrast, the ferry route is approximately 0.6 nautical miles with a typical crossing time of about 8 minutes. Here is Portaferry II making that 8 minute trip and with the cost of fuel these days you know it's worth it.text/html2011-07-03T10:36:04+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/30935David Haworth54.224204 -5.942965J3432 : Tollymore Forest Park
