A number of old-style directional signs survive at Weston, adding to the "timeless" feel of the very attractive village centre.text/html2011-04-19T00:07:39+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.642337 -3.935054SS6695 : The Liberty Stadium, Landore, Swansea

A short aqueduct carries the canal over a sidestream flowing from northwest (left) to southeast (right) into the River Tawe here. The houses in this view front the B4603, Swansea Road.text/html2009-03-20T20:18:55+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.778637 -3.759241SN7810 : The world wide wash

https://www.geograph.ie/photo/1212655
At this roundabout the old Swansea Valley road, the B4603, meets the newer route of the A4067 between Pontardawe and Ystalyfera. Beyond the bridge over the Swansea Canal, ahead, lie Ynysmeudwy to the left and Cilmaengwyn to the right.text/html2008-08-01T21:34:54+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.639403 -3.916575SS6795 : Dragon watch
https://www.geograph.ie/photo/905634
This carved wooden dragon keeps a watchful eye on all those entering the Swansea suburb of Bon-y-maen.
Originally the centrepiece of a double-seated bench, the dragon -- commissioned by the local community -- was created by the chainsaw sculptor Nansi Hemming in 2002.
My thanks to Nigel Davies for the additional information.text/html2008-08-01T21:19:09+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.661662 -3.885849SS6997 : Llansamlet railway station: looking through the overbridge towards the eastbound platform
https://www.geograph.ie/photo/905616
Llansamlet railway station has "staggered" platforms, one each side of Bethel Road (which crosses the line by an overbridge at this point). This view, looking west, is of the platform, beyond the bridge, called at by eastbound local trains from Swansea to Cardiff.text/html2008-08-01T21:03:14+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.661688 -3.884259SS6997 : Llansamlet railway station: westbound platform

https://www.geograph.ie/photo/905586
The eastbound sliproad from the A48 to the M4 near Birchgrove is unusual in that it peels off the inside of the roundabout that straddles the motorway at this point. Traffic approaching from the B4291 (between the two leftmost lamp posts as seen here) and wishing to join the M4 eastbound has to perform a near 360° circuit of the roundabout.text/html2008-08-01T20:20:27+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.654033 -3.884954SS6996 : New housing at Trallwn
https://www.geograph.ie/photo/905564
This housing development at Old Farm Court, Trallwn, near Swansea, has an interesting entrance. There were no sentries posted in the two "guard houses" either side of the archway on the day I visited...text/html2008-08-01T20:06:52+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.650689 -3.891609SS6996 : The Halfway Inn near Winsh-wen, Swansea
https://www.geograph.ie/photo/905546
This pub, between Pentre-dwr, Trallwn and Winsh-wen, sits at a "saddle" in the ridge separating the Swansea Valley from Crymlyn Bog and near the summit of roads leading up from each of these locations. Situated beside a former main road from Neath to Swansea, it is to the distance between these two towns that the "halfway" probably refers.text/html2008-07-29T15:26:33+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/4821Kevin Flynn51.737754 -4.308035SN4006 : Kidwelly Bridge
