A bit of suburban wildlife habitat created to deal with excess runoff water as new housing was constructed in the 80s and now rarely filled . A rather old sign told of slow worms having been found here . Its good to see that a bit of tidying has been done this winter.text/html2020-12-20T10:07:05+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.167887 -2.205085SO8652 : Phone mast and pylon

This relocation of communication "furniture" had not been noticed but must have happened when the roundabout was enlarged as part of the A4440 dualling scheme. See original from 11th Jan 2008, now three masts become one, bigger and better presumably.text/html2020-12-14T12:35:33+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.167079 -2.204204SO8652 : New footbridge in place

The bridge has been craned in but the ramps have yet to be installed. This is the third of four new crossings of the southern link road A4440, the last by the Ketch must have to wait for the new Carrington bridge to be fully completed as it is to be an underpass to replace the rather muddy footpath under the original single carriageway.text/html2020-10-19T14:20:31+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.167254 -2.206837SO8552 : Earthworks in progress

Surprising amount of earthworks to provide a football pitch and prevent paths flooding in Power Park.text/html2020-10-19T14:15:49+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.166896 -2.205812SO8652 : Construction of new footbridge

Considerable disruption of Power Park whilst the new bridge is built and the paths and football pitch are made.text/html2020-10-19T14:06:35+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.169161 -2.195734SO8652 : New view towards Whittington Tump and the bridleway bridge

Not many of the homeowners on Broomhall green of the old Norton road could have expected to be so near to a busy bypass south of Worcestertext/html2020-10-19T13:57:45+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.166808 -2.204934SO8652 : New footbridge

Work has started on the new footbridge from Power Park across the A4440 dual carriage way to what was a hop yard not so long ago and now soon to be mixed light industrial and housing as part of the south Worcester plan.text/html2020-05-03T17:38:40+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.167979 -2.203624SO8652 : Balancing lagoon beside St Peter's drive bus stop

Freshly strimmed to allow new rushes to grow. This bit of local wetland has been noted to have slowworms according to a notice beside it. A quick dash to the postbox before the storm broke, thankfully I was home before the hail arrived.text/html2020-05-03T17:27:58+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.168515 -2.205381SO8652 : May blossom in lockdown

The local play area beside Norton road pedway taped off to remind everyone it's not to be used. The storm cloud beyond broke just as I got home from the postbox, lashings of hail could have been very wetting.text/html2020-01-11T16:09:29+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.171664 -2.204225SO8652 : Apples remain

This ought to be a larder for the birds but since it is in such a busy area for pedestrians I guess it's not so attractive to them.text/html2019-12-16T11:51:46+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5277Andrew Darge52.169432 -2.195004SO8652 : New bridleway bridge complete
