The footpath from Arm Lees Farm to Moor Farm passes under a bridge. The now disused railway siding over the bridge was used to carry stone from the Hopton Quarries onto the High Peak Railway.text/html2011-04-29T18:14:14+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan53.123615 -1.440338SK3758 : Looking across farmland towards Broomhill Farm

The bridge was opened in 1887, a few days before Queen Victoria's Jubilee, giving easy access across the River Derwent to Lovers' Walk from the Promenade.btext/html2010-12-11T21:25:38+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan53.120347 -1.414979SK3958 : Snow scene at Hallfieldgate, Shirland

Looking down the Belper Road towards the Shoulder of Mutton pub at Hallfieldgate. After a week of snow the road is passable with care but the footpaths are covered knee deep in snow.text/html2010-12-11T21:11:41+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan53.099120 -1.394358SK4055 : Footpath junction, Alfreton

These footpaths can be accessed from the north side of the Parish Church of St Martin Alfreton. The larger track to the left of the picture leads to Oakerthorpe whilst the other heads off towards Shirland golf course. The picture was taken after the first heavy snowfall of the year.text/html2010-11-16T17:35:41+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan53.157844 -1.455446SK3662 : Looking across farmland towards the Amber Valley

It was as clear as a bell in Littlemoor but looking down into the Amber Valley, the early morning fog filled the valley particularly in the vicinity of Ogston Reservoir.text/html2010-11-02T14:24:19+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan53.110432 -1.554192SK2957 : St Mary's Church Cromford

An Autumn view of St Mary's Church, Cromford. The yew trees surrounding the church make this a popular spot for Hawfinch. (I think I spotted one!) They can also be seen in trees on the bank of the adjacent River Derwent.text/html2010-10-29T16:41:07+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan51.221022 0.142408TQ4949 : Little Egret at Bough Beech Reservoir

The Little Egret belongs to the heron family and is a common sight at this reservoir in the south east of the Country. Reservoir water levels are still quite low.text/html2010-10-24T19:04:42+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/5517Nikki Mahadevan51.244679 0.127316TQ4851 : National Trust Land, Ide Hill
