Curiosity got the better of us and we couldn't help asking these friendly gents what they were doing with their nets and long, hooked instruments. The geology of Worms Head and Rhossili is such that fissures have formed in the soft red sandstone at the base of the cliffs on the land-bridge between them (only accessible at low tides) which are home to lobsters. The hook is used to tease them gently, causing them to back out of the deep cracks and tunnels when they can be captured in the nets.text/html2017-03-31T12:32:26+00:00https://www.geograph.ie/profile/9745Dave Price52.140838 -4.491639SN2952 : The Plwmp Tart!
