Former Gartnavel Hospital Chapel :: Shared Description

The 1904 former hospital chapel was designed in the Arts and Crafts style by JJ Burnet. Following years of dereliction, it was restored and converted into a complementary therapy centre for cancer patients, known as the Calman Cancer Support Centre, run by the charity Cancer Support Scotland LinkExternal link , opening in June 2012.

The project to restore and convert the building was partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund LinkExternal link , with support from the Glasgow Buildings Preservation Trust LinkExternal link .
