Carman Muir (SE) pylon access track :: Shared Description

The line of pylons was originally set up in 1949, linking the area to the Loch Sloy hydroelectric scheme. The track was made in 2014 to provide access to overhead lines for refurbishment. It begins beside the remains of Nether Dalquhurn FarmLinkExternal link – and runs WNW, ending at about NS37807811. Vehicle tracks lead further in that direction, until a dry-stone dyke blocks the way. Beyond that dyke, access to the moor was gained from Cardross Road instead: LinkExternal link

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images. For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
