St.Andrew's church, Holborn :: Shared Description

Grade I listed church by Sir Christopher Wren on the site of a medieval church.
St.Andrew's escaped the Great Fire, but it was in such disrepair that it was rebuilt by Wren 1684-7 re-using the base of the 15th century tower. A drastic restoration by S.S.Teulon in 1871-2 was largely undone by bombs in 1941 and rebuilding by Seely & Paget 1960-61.
