Footpath past Abbots Royd, Barkisland :: Shared Description

Although a footpath from Scammonden Road to Greetland Road passing Abbots Royd is shown on the 1850 six-inch map, its western half was on a different route. The present route is shown on the 1893 1:2500 map. It might be significant that the western end of the path is near to Highlee Lane, which leads to Kebroyd and Mill Bank.
