Former McGredy rose garden, Derriaghy :: Shared Description

I had intended to write a personal account of the McGredy rose garden at Derriaghy but discovered that the subject is well covered by this Wiki article LinkExternal link.
After the removal of the rose garden the grounds (at Queensway between Derriaghy and Lambeg) became a “Stewarts” supermarket and, later after the supermarket closed, a vacant site. Currently (April 2016) being developed for housing.
You can see and hear Sam McGredy (still with his Ulster accent) here LinkExternal link.
