R111 Road :: Shared Description

Part of the Dublin Outer Orbital Route, the R111 runs 7.5km from a junction with the R109 on the south side of Phoenix Park, immediately crossing the River Liffey by the Island Bridge before heading in a generally easterly direction through Dublin's southside districts to a terminus on the R131 in Irishtown, between Ringsend, south of the mouth of the Liffey, and the coastal suburb of Sandymount. For the major part of its length the R111 follows the southern bank of the Grand Canal.
