BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art :: Shared Description

The Baltic Flour Mill was built by Rank Hovis; it was completed in 1950 and then extended in 1957 by the addition of an animal feed mill. It closed in 1981.
Since 2002 it has been home to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. ("Baltic" is often stylised as "BALTIC".) It doesn't have a permanent collection but hosts a chnging programme of events and exhibitions.

All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
