RSPB Tudeley Woods :: Shared Description
The woods (part of Brakeybank Wood) are traversed by a number of streams and with many fallen trees, the area is very natural. Also it has newly restored heathland. In some areas there are ancient trees; in others the trees have been coppiced to open up the woodland floor and allow the woodland flowers and butterflies to flourish. The woods have three trails:'Green' one mile (1.6 km),'White' 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and 'Heathland' three miles (4.8 km). The woods were once part of the ancient forest of Andreaswold.
