Alexander Wilson (1766-1813) was a Paisley-born poet and satirist. He later moved to America, where, in his day, he was America's foremost ornithologist. His memorial in Seedhill Riverside Garden is the work of sculptor Alexander Stoddart, and dates from 1995.
