Peaceful with a violent attachment :: Shared Description
A huge number of ordinary people concerned that Government cuts will affect the lives of many vulnerable groups congregated at Victoria Embankment to march to Hyde Park. The family atmosphere and law abiding behaviour of a crowd estimated at about a third of a million was widely acknowledged by the police and media. Simultaneously a much smaller group of far more radical protesters engaged in lawless behaviour which made many front pages the next day.
