The Anglo-Boer war memorial, Belfast :: Shared Description

The Anglo-Boer war memorial stands in the grounds of the City Hall, Belfast (on the Donegall Square East side). The sculptor was Sydney March (1875-1968). It was cast by Elkington & co Ltd.
There were several Irish Regiments involved in the war including the 6th lnniskilling Dragoons, 5th Royal Irish Lancers, 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoon Guards, 1st & 2nd Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, 2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers, 1st Royal Irish Regiment, 2nd Royal Irish Rifles, Royal Dublin Fusiliers and the 2nd Royal Munster Fusiliers.
