Buckshole Reservoir :: Shared Description

A reservoir in Alexandra Park designated for coarse fishing. Buckshole was dammed in 1852 to supply clean water to St Leonards. It is from 10 - 14 feet deep, and has large carp and some pike (20lb). The region supports a large variety of wildlife including swans, dragonflies and unusual water birds.
