Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies :: Shared Description

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies was established in 1985 and is a Recognised Independent Centre of the University of Oxford. Its new premises on the Marston Road are being built slowly, 11 years so far. The building is in stone rather than steel and cement. There is substantial detailed decoration in traditional Islamic style. The site includes a mosque with minaret.
